A surprise on pole for the combined Group 1 race: Post had been fastest, while Fred Frankenhout had the fastest time in the under-F 7500 class, in front of all the NSU’s. Post managed to stay ahead of the surprised Rien Frankenhout for 3 laps - then Rien passed and the normal order was restored. But Post came back again, though at the finish Rien was first as usual. The 7500 class was won by Ernst followed by the Mazda of Frankenhout. The Simca class was won by Jim Vermeulen, in front of his brother Loek.

Slotemaker, having taken over the Sunbeam of Kok for good, was fastest in practice for the small Group 2 race; even faster than team-mate van Oorschot
in the NSU. Dijkstra was third, with a new cylinder head - but he did not use his precious slick tires (“I only have four of them”) in the race. He was followed by van der Pol with the same time, fifth was Ed Swart, whose 1.51,6 “was the optimal time” for the still understeering Fiat 128.
Despite the Abarth had no slicks, Dijkstra was unbeatable on race day. In lap 4 he took over from van Oorschot and stayed ahead until the finish. Slotemaker had a bad start, but then he passed van der Pol - and broke his drive shaft at the same time.
In lap 7, it became clear that van Oorschot’s NSU was in bad form - he was passed by van der Pol, retook his place but had to give up with a jammed crankshaft. Swart therefore won the 1150 class.

Predictably, Akersloot was fastest in practice for the other Group 2 race; and a small fortune (Fl. 75.000) was spent to get an Escort BDA for Berg too. Chiotakis could split the pair on the grid, while Engeman complained about her differential and “there was something strange in the suspension” - her car skated from left to right. She had no slicks at the rear, since her muscles did not seem to be strong enough to cope with this.
Van der Sluis had bad luck - he broke his differential early in practice and had to start from behind.
Akersloot was fastest away, Chiotakis followed but some backmarkers cost him the Ford’s slipstream - he had to settle for second. Van der Sluis had a great start and was sixth soon, and when he passed Boshuis (who had lost third gear) fifth overall and second in class was his share - he could not get past Engeman, while Hezemans disappeared into the distance. Engeman finally retired (oil pressure).
