In the other group 1 race, the perfect Fl. 8000 car had finally been homologated: the Opel Kadett 1900. Rien Frankenhout drove away to an easy victory, while the Fl. 7000 class was won by Wagenaar Hummelinck (NSU) in front of Daniëls (Fiat 124) who came very close. “Thank You Rein Zwolsman” was written on the remains of a Hillman Imp. Bokkelkamp, who went sideways at Tarzan corner was hit by Zwolsman, who closed the door and the Imp was launched, high enough to give Nijsten room to pass underneath... |
