At the Fassberg airfield track, Jochen Mass awaited in vain (once again) the arrival of the McNamara Capri.
The “Puch” class had an addition in the form of a Honda N600, which finished fourth, some way behind winner Eichhammer. The 850 class was won by Weiss, his only serious opposition being Schulz in another Abarth. One-litre victory was for NSU, with Wisskirchen behind the wheel.
The 1150 class was won by a NSU too (Ammerschläger), though Nakaten’s Opel Kadett was fast too before his retirement.

A big fight once again in the 1300 class; in the beginning, the Minis of Teves and von Bayern took the lead, but were outpaced by Menzel and Stenzel. A Mini was destroyed (Müller), and Stenzel was attacked by von Bayern left the road to test the straw bales. The prince’s glory did not long last, since he retired with an engine failure. Menzel took the victory with Teves over a minute behind.
The next two classes were won by a BMW (Hegels and Stuck), the bigger touring cars had not enough entries for championship points.

The small GT class had a surprise in store: Betzler was in front, but slowed down in the last lap with engine maladies, enabling championship leader Schulze-Schwering the full 12 points. Georg Loos pulled the same trick, slowing down for Kastner. Loos duly received a letter from the O.N.S. asking him to stop this sort of nonsense.

The last race of the day was spectacular once again; Wetzel and Fröhlich renewed their fight from the previous race, but this time the Porsche driver held the upper hand and won.
