A national race for Standard Touring Cars was held as a curtain-raiser for the ETCC and F3 races. Fastest in practice had been the Opels of van de Pol and Hayje, sharing the front row with Boshuis in the NSU. The three had a terrific fight, overshadowing the rest of the field. One of the Opels lost its exhaust; the fight continued. Would Boshuis be capable of beating the Opels? Not quite - Hayje was first at the finish. |
