Jan van de Pol led from start to finish in the standard race, but he was attacked frequently by Kok in the Simca, the small class was won by “Cento” in front of Visser’s Mini.

The first group 5 race was for cars up to 850 cc. Although Swart took the lead and won without any opposition, the fight for second place was entertaining, Akersloot being faster in the corners while Jonker passed him at the straight. Van Staalduinen was stuck in second gear after the start and had to retire, while Smeets had a terrific start from row 7 - he was fourth at Gerlach corner in lap 1.

The race for group 5 850-1300 cc was a race between three SRT team-mate; Hezemans, Goedemans and Oskamp. Front wheel in the air (Abarth) or rear wheel (Mini). Goedemans was in the lead initially, but Oskamp had enough of it and passed him on lap 7 at Tarzan corner. Hezemans held back a little, but when backmarkers started to interfere he took the lead and took the victory. Goedemans managed to pass Oskamp too, and took second. Apart from this fight, but behind them there was another fight between Koolhaas, Berg (Minis), Dijkstra (Abarth) and van Oorschot (NSU). A fine race indeed.

Last race of the day was for group 5 over 1300 cc. A lonely victory for van der Sluis (Porsche), but Koster in his new BMW showed promise; his car was not ready in practice, but his start from the back was epic - he was third at Tarzan, behind van der Sluis and Chiotakis. He could improve another place and finished second, in front of Slotemaker, who had been able to stay ahead of the Alfa of Chiotakis - thanks to the oversteering Mustang, which left little room for others...
