The winter was over - time for a practice weekend and some racing for fun - no championship points to worry about.

Not all of the teams were ready yet - but the new “standard” class had 27 entries, though the difference in quality was visible in the fact that the fastest qualifier was a cool 22 seconds quicker than the slowest car on the grid.
New boy Boshuis (NSU) had a great fight with van der Pol and Ruitenbeek (Opel) and while van der Pol could not be catched he finished second, in front of Ruitenbeek. After the race, examination of the cars meant the disqualification of both van der Pol and Boshuis. The vacant victory in the 1000 cc class was for Kok (Simca), while the 850 class was won by “Cento”. We will get back to him in a later race.

The debut of group 5 in the Netherlands provided us with a 24-car field; and the SRT cars of Goedemans and Hezemans were not even entered.
Dijkstra won his class after a fight with van Oorschot, who was sidelined with car trouble.

Last but not least the big touring cars (18 cars): van der Sluis in the ex-Ben Pon Porsche 911 was the class of the field and never really challenged, apart from team-mate Chiotakis in the Alfa Romeo GTA - but he retired with a broken fuel pump. The biggest class was won by the Kruyff with a near-standard Opel Commodore; he was the only entry since Rob Slotemaker was at Le mans.
