The first race was a cracker. 6 standard cars of maximum 850 cc were covered by 3 seconds at the most. Jan Visser rolled his Mini. And Wim Visser could have won - but he met Cleutjens at “Bos uit”; Cleutjens rolled his Mini too and Wim could escape most of the mayhem, but a fifth and a damaged car was all that was left for him - while “Cento” won. But his Fiat was found to be most illegal - he was disqualified and banned from the rest of the season. Next up was the standard race up to 1300 cc, with the 1300 cc cars starting 60 seconds after the 1000 cc cars. Boshuis taking victory in the 1000 cc class without much troubles, but behind him a fine battle for fourth kept the spectators awake. Van de Pol won the 1300 class. Last race of the day were the remaining touring cars between 850 and 1300 cc. Again, a double start here. Goedemans led the way from pole and was never challenged, while team-mate Oskamp won the 1300 class. |
