Only a few genuine Group 5 cars here; the Compressor-Alfas of Dau and Stenzel had to fight mainly Group 2 cars. But Reinhardt, re;atively unknown until now took the lead by a surprising margin, until his engine overheated. The Alfas took over, and while Stenzel was leading Dau retired soon with failing brakes. Kaiser (Porsche) was a close second - until the final corner of the final lap, when Stenzel waved to his stranded friend Dau - and spun! Kaiser stole the win with Stenzel a disgruntled second. |
