The red egg stayed in one piece this time so van Lennep finished first in the race.

700-850 cc
It was said that van Osch had a broken piston ring in practice (and therefore could not start) - the sound of the engine seemed to indicate something more expensive...
So Veder had no real competition, apart from the fact that yet again Kwinkelenberg had the better start and took the lead at Tarzan. Strange in the light of 40 years later - the Abarth should have far better traction...

850-1300 cc
Goedemans was the hero of this race. With his little Abarth he had a terrific start and took the lead at Tarzan, in front of Oskamp and Dudok van Heel in their more powerful cars. Goedemans used Oskamp’s slipstream then, and had a huge lead over Swart, who tried to do the same with the Cooper of Kinsbergen. But the SRT cars of Oskamp and Goedemans finished 1-2, winning both classes.

Pon had been quickest in practice, but masked “Piet Hein” in another Porsche and Loos in the Alfa were very close indeed. But when “Piet Hein” tried to squeeze in between Pon and Loos he overdid it and spun. He had to do it all over again and finally finished third overall, behind Pon and Loos.
