The curtain raiser was not 100 miles (24 laps) but only 10; it was a combined group 5/prototype race. Fastest had been Dau in a compressor Alfa GTA, and he took the lead followed by Dorner (Porsche 911) and Bitter (Abarth 1300 OT). Bitter passed Dorner in lap 6, and this order was kept to the finish. Fourth and winner of the 1600 cc class was Schüler.

The second race was for touring cars under 1300 cc. Schüler took the lead and won unchallenged. But further down the field some nice fights took place. Becker (Glas) was third for a while but had to retire. Von Kerckerinck (Abarth) passed Kranefuss (Abarth) and won the 1150 cc class, while Scholl (Abarth 850) and Eichhammer (Steyr-Puch) won their respective classes as well.

The rest of the touring cars and all GT’s took the start in the third race. Dau (Porsche) took the lead followed by Schwarz (Porsche), Theissen (Shelby) and Weber (Alfa GTA). The Shelbys came on steam and in lap 3 Dau held a narrow margin over Theissen and Fritzinger. Bodmer was in the lead of the 1300 GT class meanwhile. In lap 8, the Shelby’s took over and left Dau behind. Schwarz was fourth, followed by Lehmann and Kremer (Porsche), Weber and Schultze (Alfa GTA). In lap 14, Fritzinger took the lead, and Schultze passed Weber. But Fritzinger dropped back and had to pit with oil pressure problems. He could continue however, just like Theissen who pitted the next lap with a boiling engine. So Dau had a comfortable lead again and won the race, with Schwarz second and Schultze fourth.
