It was planned that an International touring car race would be included in this meeting (which already had an international sportscar race and an Formula Junior race) but since the international calendar had been changed, British drivers would take part in a BSCC meeting while the Germans had the Nürburgring 500 km on the program. A pity; it would have been a real forerunner for the Zandvoort trophy.
Instead, we had a national race which now was divided by capacity.
The lead was disputed by four cars from three different classes (!); fastest of them all was the little DKW of Jonker, whose coil lead unfortunately came loose which cost him a lap. Van Zalinge fell back with engine troubles, but Heidendahl nearly beat Slotemaker on the line - which may have been another of Rob’s games, since he had the lead all race.
