For the first race, the touring car victory in the 1000 cc class seemed to be decided before the start: van Zalinge’s Saab 93 was much faster than any opposition, despite its small engine. The race was won overall bij sportscar driver Rosenblatt (MG A) who beat de Vogel (Porsche) who had to retire. The 1600 cc class was won by Huisman.
