The very first saloon car race I ever saw! Much pre race interest was generated by no less than 4 works prepared Volvos - all the way from Sweden for a 36 mile race! Such was the prestige of this particular race. One joined the too long a list of non starters.
Bueb took his now customary lead; Jaguars took the first 6 places. The Volvos showed Leston the way home- Andersson , as 1958 European touring Car Champion (Rally) winning the class.
