The first saloon car race ever run at the Palace. Sopwith lead all the way from the flag with team mate Baillie carving his way though the field from the back of the race through not practising. Star of the race however was “Doc” Shepherd who hurtled his A35 around, beating Sprinzel and worrying Haynes’ big Zephyr on the tight twisting track. |
