Notwithstanding the previous day “non championship” race at the Aintree 200 meeting and a very long haul down from Liverpool to well south of London in pre-motorway days.

Race 1 10 laps Saloon cars up to 1200 cc
In a race contested by “ a collection of A35’s, Ford Anglias, a brace of Fiats and a lone VW and a Minor 1000” Doc Shepherd lead initially then Sprinzel “in the scarlet Austin that is know for going improbably fast” went past at Clearways after 5 laps.

Race 4: 10 laps Saloon Cars 1200 cc-1,600 cc
Bridger’s Borgward took the lead on lap 3 at Clearways and Grace’s Riley 1.5 got the better of Foster after a race long duel.

Race 7 10 laps Saloon Cars 1,600-2700 cc and over 2700
