Zolder Bergischer Löwe DTM 1993

Lohr was one of the factory drivers who had to do with a 1992 Evo 2.
Van Ommen had to drive an old-style Evo 2 Mercedes too.
His Zakspeed car looked the part, however.
Nannini was unlucky but fast with the new Alfa Romeo 155 TI. Once a works team, Linder now fielded cars for privateers like Harald Becker.
Schneider's AMG car was a new version. Feucht had brought his Mustang. The quality of the field allowed the Mustangs to have better results than ever before.
Manthey drove for Persson now, the ex-MS team.
Kurt König still was part of the DTM.
Two years ago we had "Christ", now "Gabriel"? Carsten Struwe in the Auto Maass car. Sandy Grau drove for the "DTM Junior Team".
More BMW privateers: Severich.
Strycek was allowed to drive his stroked Omega until the Calibra would be ready - but not for him.
Achille Voltolina tried his hands on the DTM with this BMW...
... while Czech Vaclav Svarc had an Omega.
Both Bervid...
... and Venc entered their own M3s.
Another backmarker: Ruch and his Mustang. The last BMW here is of Henningsen.

One of the very few FIA Class II cars: the Astra of Marco Werner.

Race day: rain! Thiim on wets.
Larini hitting the track, with Giudici behind him.
Danner, on Michelin wets...
... and teammate Francia on Pirellis - "to give their motorsport department something to do!"
