This Porsche with Röhrl and Barth finished 7th overall.
This IMSA GTO Mazda retired.
Schurti and Rouse drove this car to 11th overall.
Another IMSA Mazda, it retired too. Rent-a-Joest: this car retired as well.
This K3 Porsche finished 6th overall and second in IMSA GTX... ... while this one retired.
This must have been a Ferrari in the past, can't say it's pretty now. It retired. Ninth overall: this Belgian Ferrari with Dieudonné, Libert and Xhenceval.
Another Ferrari, this one retired. There were many Group 5 BMW M1's in 1981, a bit late but still. This is the Sauber car of Quester, Surer and Deacon - it retired.
Another one: this is the GS car of Stuck, Jarier and Henzler, also a retirement.
And another one: the ORECA car of Darniche, Cecotto and Alliot; 16th.
Last one: the EMKA car of Hobbs, Jordan and O'Rourke, it retired...
... but not because of this mishap.
A British K3, winning Group 5 and 4th overall, driven by Cooper, Wood and Bourgoignie. This looks like a nightmare, and it retired.
A US Kremer car with Field and two Whittingtons; it retired. 10th: Grohs, Schornstein and von Tschirnhaus.
Dören, Holup and Lässig retired the Wera-K3. 8th overall and winner of division 2: the Lancia of Cheever, Alboreto and Facetti.
The second car retired. A private Lancia was driven by Finotto, Schön and Pianta; it finished 14th.
A Group 4 BMW with Danner, von Bayern and Oberndorfer; it retired.
