Motor Show 200 - Brands Hatch 1970

To the best of my knowledge, this is Birrane's Mustang.
Muir leading Fitzpatrick's Escort TC and possibly Franck - but not for long. The little Ford would win the race, Muir's Chevy finished third.
Fitz comes close...
... and takes the lead on his way to victory.

I suspect this is Birrane again; if so, he is on his way to second.
Franck followed by "an" Escort.
... and again leading more Escorts. He would retire in the end.
This might be Hailwood in the Duncan Hamilton car.
Hickman leading Høyer and an Imp.
Akersloot, after securing his Dutch title, returned to the UK.
He finished third in class.

This #45 Mini looks OK here...
This picture of Akersloot is supplied by racebears.com.
... and here too...
... butin the haet of the fighting its front is damaged.
This is Høyer getting it sideways.
Imp and Minis, with Muir closing in.
More Minis...
... and this, I guess, is Leech with his Boss Mustang.

This ends in tears, at least for one of them. Drury on the inside, May on the outside - while May can recover and will finish fourth overall (and second in class) poor Drury has to retire. It's 1970, but spot those wide wheels...
