1983 France Production

Group A revised

The French always had been a little liberal with the FIA regulations; Group 1B was soon accepted, and over the years the cars grew little wings and spoilers. But the breakthrough came in 1983, when a single class championship was introduced; with weights based on cars and technical details, like drum brakes at the rear, fuel injection, front wheel drive etcetera.
