Warsteiner ADAC GT-Cup

It Is Not Enough - 1993 index

40 litres of fuel per 100 km, it was a bit silly especially at the start of the season. Porsche drivers were happy with the new cup, but it turned sour with the arrival of the Escort Cosworth turbo, the Audi S2/C5 and especially the BMW M3 GTR. A semi-works team for Cecotto who had one of the only two GTRs in existence was all that was needed to claim the championship, with Nissen in an identical car second. Division 2 for smaller cars at least had a fight for the championship.
In 1994, the works BMWs were gone but the championship went downhill, only to be stopped at the end of 1997.
