The
1991 Superturismo was changed into a combination of DTM and BTCC; the
"S1" class was close to DTM, the "S2" resembled the British
championship cars. Together, they formed a reasonable grid compared to
France, but both Britain and Germany had more cars of the same level.
Still, the championship involved (semi) works teams with CiBiEmme and
Ravaglia coming out on top.
