1988, Nissan's new Skyline would take up the gauntlet against the Ford
Sierra, but it just wasn't enough to clinch the championship; two wins
against Ford's four. In division 2, BMW was an outsider for the title;
in the end, Yanagida and Hoy were second behind Yokoshima with his
Sierra.
