Like
1976, the drivers' and manufacturers championship were
combined; all 11 rounds counted towards the drievrs' title (albeit with
a little more points for the endurance races), while the last 4 founds
were counting for the manufacturer's crown. Again, Bathurst
wasn't part of the chamionship. The manufacturers' title was won by
Ford by a huge margin, while the drivers' champion again was to Moffat,
beating teammate Bond and Brock.
